New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony returned from a two-game absence just in time to take on the Brooklyn Nets in a intra-city matchup.

Anthony, a Brooklyn native, sprained his left ankle in a win over the Lakers last Thursday and missed a one-point win over the Cavaliers and a lopsided home loss to the Rockets before suiting up on Wednesday.

Coming into the anticipated meeting, Anthony ranked second in the NBA in scoring (27.9 ppg) and has also pulled down 6.4 rebounds per outing over his first 20 games.
