Hornets' Smith to miss rest of season

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - New Orleans Hornets forward/center Jason Smith will miss the remainder of the season with a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

He will have surgery to repair the injury early next week.

Smith averaged 8.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 51 games for the Hornets this season.

The Hornets also announced Friday that forward Anthony Davis (left shoulder sprain) will miss for tonight's contest against the Detroit Pistons. His status is listed as day-to-day.

Davis is averaging 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds this season.
