Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks have been awarded the contract of point guard Kendall Marshall, who was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers earlier in the week.

Marshall, who averaged 8.0 points and 8.8 assists in 54 games for the Lakers last season, had no hard feelings for the organization that no longer required his services.

"It's been a roller coaster these first two years!" Marshall tweeted on Sunday. "Learning so much about basketball and business, loving the process. I'd like to thank the entire @Lakers organization for giving me a chance. From management, coaches, to teammates."

Drafted 13th overall by the Suns in 2012, Marshall failed to make an impact as a rookie with Phoenix and was moved to the Wizards in a five-player offseason trade. Marshall was waived by Washington shortly after the deal and latched on with the Lakers, where he made 45 starts and finished tied for third in the league in assists per game.
