El Segundo, CA (Sports Network) - As if the Los Angeles Lakers' season wasn't trying enough.

The team announced Monday that both center Dwight Howard and forward Pau Gasol are out indefinitely with injuries sustained in Sunday's home loss to Denver.

Howard suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder and will be re-examined in a week.

Despite the injury, Howard tied a career-high with 26 rebounds and added 14 points and four blocks in 41 minutes. He originally hurt the shoulder Friday night against the Clippers.

Gasol, meanwhile, has been diagnosed with a concussion after taking a blow to the face in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers, who are 15-18, also announced that forward Jordan Hill sustained a right hip injury Sunday.
