New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter will miss Friday's contest at Minnesota while serving a one-game, league-imposed suspension.

The veteran is being disciplined for throwing an elbow and making contact with the head of Oklahoma City center Steven Adams in the third quarter of the Mavericks' 107-93 road loss on Wednesday.

Carter was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected.
