Nowitzki, Carlisle to miss Saturday's game

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle and star forward Dirk Nowitzki will both miss Saturday's home game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to unspecified illnesses, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The newspaper reported both men were not at Saturday morning's shootaround.

This will be the first game Nowitzki has missed this season. He's averaging 21.1 points to go with 6.0 rebounds.

Jae Crowder is expected to take Nowitzki's place in the starting lineup.
