Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - The Brooklyn Nets will be without starting shooting guard Joe Johnson for Friday's clash with the Houston Rockets.

Johnson is having a bout with plantar fasciitis that flared up during Wednesday night's victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. He is considered day-to- day.

The six-time All-Star is averaging 17 points per game on 42.3 percent shooting in his first season with the Nets. He had not missed a game for Brooklyn up to this point.
