New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Eddie Rosario, one of the Minnesota Twins' top minor-league prospects, has received a 50-game suspension without pay after failing a drug test for the second time, Major League Baseball announced on Saturday.

The suspension of Rosario, who is currently on the roster of Double-A New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League, will be effective at the start of the 2014 season.

The native of Puerto Rico batted .329 in 52 games with Single-A Fort Myers last season and then hit .284 in 70 games with Double-A New Britain.
