Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Minnesota Twins outfielder Wilkin Ramirez left Thursday's 3-1 loss against Kansas City with an apparent left leg injury.

Ramirez was facing Royals starter Bruce Chen in the fifth, when he fouled an 0-1 pitch off his leg.

Ramirez was on the ground in pain for several minutes, before being escorted from the field with the help of team personnel.

Chris Herrmann was inserted as a pinch hitter.

Ramirez was listed as day-to-day.
