Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms with shortstop Jose Iglesias on a one-year contract.

Iglesias was acquired by Detroit from Boston on July 30 of last season as part of the three-team trade with the White Sox that sent pitcher Jake Peavy to the Red Sox.

The 24-year-old shortstop appeared in 46 regular-season games with the Tigers and batted .259 with two home runs and 10 runs batted in. He hit .231 over 11 postseason games during Detroit's run to the ALCS.

Over three seasons with Boston and Detroit, Iglesias has batted .274 with four homers and 31 RBI in 144 games.
