St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Desmond Jennings left Friday night's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after fouling a ball off his left knee.

The injury occurred in the second inning. Jennings stayed in the game despite a visit from the trainer, and worked a two-out walk.

Kevin Kiermaier took Jennings' spot in center field to start the third inning.

Jennings was diagnosed with a bruised left knee. X-rays came back negative.
