Padres' Headley to make season debut

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - San Diego Padres third baseman Chase Headley will return to the lineup Wednesday following a one-month absence due to a fractured left thumb.

Headley was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list prior to Wednesday's game, the final installment of a three-game set against the Dodgers.

In 2012, Headley .286 with 31 homers and led the National League with 115 RBI. He also won a National League Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Award in 2012.
