Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Arizona Diamondbacks reliever J.J. Putz was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday

He left during the ninth inning in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers due to a strain in his right elbow.

Putz has appeared in 14 games this season, converting 5-of-9 saves with a 4.26 ERA over 12 2/3 innings.

The team recalled pitcher Will Harris from Triple-A Reno to take his place. Claimed off waivers from the Athletics on April 6, Harris has two saves and a 4.63 ERA in 12 appearances for Reno.
