Recap: Baltimore vs. Toronto

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Steve Pearce homered twice as the Baltimore Orioles kept up with their winning ways on Wednesday with a 6-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Pearce, who homered in Tuesday's AL East-clinching win, drove in four runs for Baltimore, which swept the three-game series with the Jays and has won four straight overall.

Bud Norris (14-8) earned the win and remained perfect over six career starts against Toronto. Norris, who entered the game with a 3-0 mark and 2.79 ERA against the Blue Jays, limited the opposition to just two hits but walked five over 5 1/3 scoreless innings.

David Lough also homered and Jimmy Paredes had an RBI in the win.

J.A. Happ (9-11) took the loss after giving up five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits while striking out five.

Pearce got the scoring going with a solo shot to left in the third. Jonathan Schoop and Paredes both singled with two outs in the fifth to set up Pearce's three-run jack to left-center which extended the cushion to 4-0.

"The three-run home run was just lack of execution," Happ said.

Back-to-back doubles by Kevin Pillar and Ryan Goins, respectively, put a pair of runners in scoring position with no outs in the seventh. The Blue Jays could only get one run, however, with Jose Reyes driving in Pillar on a groundout to second.

Christian Walker, who made his MLB debut on Wednesday, doubled to begin the home seventh for his first major-league hit. Quintin Berry came on to run for Walker and later scored on Paredes' RBI groundout.

"That's cool," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said of Walker's double. "He hit it well. I was happy for him. That's cool."

Lough drove a solo homer to right in the eighth to account for the final margin.
