Lake Buena Vista, FL (Sports Network) - Andrelton Simmons had a solo homer and Paul Maholm tossed four innings of scoreless two-hit ball as the Atlanta Braves took a 2-0 decision over the Houston Astros on Thursday.

Justin Upton had a hit and scored one run for the Braves, who saw the team's relievers close the contest allowing just four hits in the victory.

Brandon Laird, Trevor Crowe and Jose Martinez each went 1-for-3 for the Astros, while starter Lucas Harrell strike out five batters over six innings and allow two runs -- one earned -- on four hits.
