Recap: Cincinnati vs. Chicago Cubs

Goodyear, AZ (Sports Network) - Welington Castillo led off the top of the ninth with a home run and Dave Sappelt later added a three-run shot to lift the Chicago Cubs over the Cincinnati Reds, 7-4, on Tuesday.

Bryan LaHair and Darwin Barney added three hits and an RBI apiece for the Cubs. Starter Matt Garza gave up two runs and scattered seven hits with six strikeouts over four innings of work.

Brandon Phillips tallied four hits while Chris Heisey and Drew Stubbs chipped in an RBI apiece for the Reds, who saw starter Mat Latos allow three runs -- two earned -- on four hits in 4 2/3 innings on the bump.
