Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Reigning National League Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw had a solid spring training debut on Friday, allowing three hits over three scoreless innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers blasted Texas, 9-0, at Surprise Stadium.
Matt Kemp, Juan Rivera and Alex Castellanos all hit solo homers for the Dodgers, who surged to a 7-0 lead after four innings.
Martin Perez started for Texas and allowed three hits and a pair of runs over two innings.
