Recap: Colorado vs. Kansas City

Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - Yuniesky Betancourt and Max Ramirez each smacked solo home runs as the Kansas City Royals blanked the Colorado Rockies, 5-0, on Thursday.

Lorenzo Cain went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Felipe Paulino allowed three hits and a walk in a two-inning start for Kansas City.

Hector Gomez and Nolan Arenado each doubled for the Rockies only extra-base hits. Josh Outman allowed four runs on six hits and a walk in three innings to take the loss.
