Recap: Kansas City vs. San Diego

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Max Ramirez had a pair of home runs and four runs batted in as the Kansas City Royals defeated the San Diego Padres, 7-4, in spring training action.

Johnny Giavotella had two hits and an RBI for Kansas City, which got two shutout innings from starter Luke Hochevar (1-0).

Tim Stauffer (0-1) allowed a run and two hits in two innings of work for the Padres, who got two hits apiece from Kyle Blanks, Everth Cabrera and James Darnell.
