Mesa, AZ (Sports Network) - Saturday's spring training contest between the Cubs and Angels ended in a 3-3 tie.
Albert Pujols blasted a two-run homer for Los Angeles. Garrett Richards tossed six innings, allowing three runs -- two earned -- on six hits in the start.
Paul Maholm struck out six in his 4 2/3-inning start for Chicago while giving up two runs on three hits. Joe Mather and Darwin Barney hit doubles and Blake DeWitt drove in a run.
