Recap: Chicago Cubs vs. Texas

Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Derek Holland allowed one hit over four shutout innings and he was supported by Julio Borbon's two-run single in Texas' 12-7 spring training win over the Chicago Cubs.

Borbon's hit off James Russell in the fifth inning opened a 3-0 lead before the Cubs got on the board on Alfonso Soriano's RBI single in the sixth.

The teams each scored five times in the eighth. Texas' output was highlighted by Renny Osuna's three-run homer, while Adrian Cardenas and Steve Clevenger homered off Alexi Ogando in the bottom of the frame. Junior Lake homered in the last of the ninth for the Cubs, but not before Texas scored four times in the top of the inning.

Jeff Samardzija was charged with one run on three hits over four innings to take the loss.
