Recap: Washington vs. Boston

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Daniel Nava homered to tie the game in the eighth, then Jason Repko hit an RBI double in the ninth to send Boston over Washington, 8-7, in exhibition play.

Repko also aided the victory by throwing out Ian Desmond to end the game.

Dustin Pedroia doubled twice, drove in three and scored twice for the Red Sox, who squandered a 6-0 lead but held on to win in their final spring contest. Boston swept the two-game set, claiming a 4-2 decision on Monday.

The Sox begin the regular season on Thursday on Detroit.

Wilson Ramos struck a three-run homer and Desmond added a solo shot in defeat for the Nats, who begin the 2012 regular season in Chicago on Thursday.
