Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay

Bradenton, FL (Sports Network) - Luke Scott smacked a solo home run as the Tampa Bay Rays edged the Pittsburgh Pirates, 2-1, on Saturday.

Carlos Pena tripled and scored on a wild pitch by Joel Hanrahan to account for Tampa Bay's game-deciding run. James Shields allowed one run on four hits while striking out seven in a six-inning start for the Rays.

Andrew McCutchen homered and Jeff Karstens allowed one run on three hits and three walks through five innings for the Pirates. Karstens also struck out five batters.
