Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman appears headed for the 15-day disabled list.

Following the Nationals' 7-6 win over the New York Mets on Saturday, manager Davey Johnson announced that a hamstring injury will land Zimmerman on the DL.

The issue has kept him out of Washington's past two games. The 28-year-old is batting just .226 with one home run and 11 RBI in 15 games played.

To fill the roster spot, Washington will recall infielder Anthony Rendon from Double-A Harrisburg.
