Rangers' Ortiz recalled from Round Rock

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers recalled left-handed pitcher Joseph Ortiz from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

Ortiz, 23, will return to the major league club for a fourth time this season. Over 25 appearances, he has notched a 2-1 record with a 3.96 ERA.

To make room on the roster, Texas optioned pitcher Ross Wolf to Round Rock. Wolf was with the club since May 22 and compiled a 1-3 record with a 4.14 ERA over 21 games -- including three starts.
