San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants reinstated pitcher Chad Gaudin from the 15-day disabled list Sunday.

Gaudin suffered an elbow contusion during a June 20 game against the Miami Marlins and was placed on the disabled list four days later, retroactive to June 21.

The 30-year-old right-hander is 2-1 with a 2.60 earned run average in 22 games this season. His last four appearances have been starts, his first since 2009 with the New York Yankees.

Gaudin is expected to start Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

To make room for Gaudin, the Giants optioned lefty Mike Kickham to Triple-A Fresno. The 24-year-old allowed 18 earned runs over 13 1/3 innings in four games (three starts).
