Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies placed third baseman Cody Asche on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain on Sunday.

Asche, 23, aggravated a hamstring injury earlier this week. He is batting .258 with four home runs and 18 RBI.

Cesar Hernandez will make his third straight start in Asche's place during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

To fill the spot on the 25-man roster, the Phillies recalled reliever Justin De Fratus from Lehigh Valley. In four appearances with the Phillies this season, the righty has allowed four runs in just five innings of work.
