Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies placed pitcher Kyle Kendrick on the 15-day disabled list Monday with right shoulder tendinitis.

The move is retroactive to Sept. 14, a day after Kendrick allowed six runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings of a 6-1 loss at Washington.

Kendrick lost seven of his last eight decisions and finished the 2013 season with a 10-13 record and a 4.70 earned run average. The 13 losses are a career- high for the 29-year-old.
