Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The New York Mets placed outfielder Lucas Duda on the 15-day disabled list with a left intercostal strain.

Duda felt discomfort following Friday night's victory over the Phillies. He returned to New York Saturday morning to undergo an MRI exam on his left side.

The 27-year-old Duda is batting .235 with 11 homers and 23 RBI in 68 games this season.

New York recalled infielder Zach Lutz from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill the roster spot. He was hitting .286 with seven homers and 37 RBI in 53 games for Las Vegas.
