Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins have reinstated third baseman Trevor Plouffe from the 7-day disabled list for players dealing with concussion-related issues.

Plouffe exited a game against the Atlanta Braves on May 21 in the 10th inning after being kicked in the head by second baseman Dan Uggla while trying to break up a double play. He was batting .254 with four home runs and 17 RBI prior to the incident.

The former first-round pick, who finished second among Minnesota players with 24 homers last season, will be available for Wednesday's matchup against Milwaukee.

Infielder Chris Colabello was optioned to Triple-A Rochester to make room for Plouffe. The 29-year-old rookie went 1-for-11 in five games after taking Plouffe's place on the active roster last week.
