Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins placed outfielder Wilkin Ramirez and pitcher Samuel Deduno on the 15-day disabled list Friday.

Ramirez suffered a fractured left tibia when he fouled a ball off his leg in the fifth inning of Thursday's 3-1 setback to the Kansas City Royals. Ramirez missed a chunk of the season with a concussion suffered in May and had recently been activated from the DL.

Deduno started on Thursday and lasted only three innings due to right shoulder soreness. He absorbed the loss to even his record this year at 8-8 with a 3.83 ERA.

The Twins recalled outfielder Darin Mastroianni from Triple-A Rochester and pitcher Pedro Hernandez from Double-A New Britain in corresponding moves.
