Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers have reinstated pitcher Yovani Gallardo from the 15-day disabled list, with the right-hander slated to start Saturday's game against Cincinnati.

Gallardo has been sidelined a little over two weeks with tightness in his left hamstring. The injury caused him to exit his most recent start, a July 30 matchup against the Chicago Cubs, in the fifth inning.

The 27-year-old had been dealing with discomfort in his hamstring since prior to the All-Star break and has struggled for much of this season, having posted an 8-9 record with a career-high 4.91 earned run average over 23 outings.

Rookie hurler Donovan Hand was optioned to Triple-A Nashville to make room for Gallardo's return. The 27-year-old righty went winless (0-4) in seven starts and 13 relief appearances after being promoted to the majors in late May, while registering a 3.83 ERA.
