Brewers activate Braun, put Ramirez on DL

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers activated outfielder Ryan Braun from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.

Braun, who had been sidelined since June 10 with a right thumb contusion, will active for Monday's game with the Cincinnati Reds, but will not start.

Over 57 games this season, Braun is batting .304 with nine home runs and 36 RBI.

Additionally, Milwaukee placed third baseman Aramis Ramirez on the 15-day DL with a sprained left knee, according to a Journal Sentinel report. Over 54 games this season, Ramirez is batting .271 with five homers and 26 RBI.
