Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Marlins placed outfielder Matt Diaz on the disabled list due to a left knee bone contusion.

The 35-year-old Diaz was hitting just .167 with an RBI over 10 games this season.

To replace Diaz's spot on the roster, Miami recalled first baseman Jordan Brown from New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League.
