Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Miami Marlins reinstated third baseman Placido Polanco from the 7-day concussion disabled list on Tuesday.

Polanco suffered the concussion after being hit in the head with a pitch on August 16 during the eighth inning against the San Francisco Giants. He sat out the team's next two games before being put on the concussion list.

The veteran is batting .253 with one home run and 21 RBI in 91 games for the Marlins this season
