St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers will have Andre Ethier back in the starting lineup for Friday's Game 1 of their National League Championship Series matchup with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Ethier, who has been limited to pinch-hitting duties for the past month because of a sprained left ankle, will bat seventh and play center field in Friday's opener at Busch Stadium.

The two-time All-Star will be making his first start since Sept. 13. He went 0-for-3 with a walk in four pinch-hitting appearances during the Dodgers' victory over Atlanta in the ALDS.

Skip Schumaker had been starting in center field in place of Ethier, who batted .272 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI over 142 games during the regular season.
