Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Chris Capuano has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and will make the start in the nightcap of the team's Wednesday doubleheader with the New York Yankees.

Capuano landed on the DL for the second time this season after suffering a left shoulder latissimus strain during a May 29 contest against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The 34-year-old, who was sidelined by a left calf strain earlier in the campaign, has pitched to a 1-4 record with a 5.45 earned run average in eight games -- six starts -- for the Dodgers this season.

To make room on the roster, Los Angeles optioned outfielder Alex Castellanos to Triple-A Albuquerque.
