Angels claim Cousins

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim claimed outfielder Scott Cousins off waivers on Friday.

The 27-year-old Cousins was designated for assignment by the Seattle Mariners on Nov. 20 after being claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays on Nov. 6.

He batted just .163 in 53 games with the Marlins a year ago.

Over the course of his three-year major league career, Cousins is a .183 hitter with two homers and nine RBI.
