Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rockies acquired pitcher Armando Galarraga from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for pitcher Parker Frazier on Monday.

Galarraga has spent the entire 2013 campaign with the Reds' Triple-A affiliate in Louisville, where he went 6-6 with a 2.98 earned run average and 62 strikeouts over 16 starts.

The 31-year-old right-hander last pitched in the majors in 2012, going 0-4 with a 6.75 ERA over five starts with the Houston Astros. He will report to Colorado's Triple-A affiliate in Colorado Springs.

In six major league seasons with Texas, Detroit, Arizona and Houston, Galarraga has compiled a 26-34 record with a 4.78 ERA.

Galarraga is most remembered for his near perfect game in June of 2010 when he was a member of the Tigers. He was one out away before umpire Jim Joyce made an incorrect call at first base that ruined his perfect bid.

Frazier appeared in nine games, including three starts, for Colorado Springs this season. He went 0-1 with a 10.67 ERA.
