Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder Dayan Viciedo from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Viciedo had been sidelined since mid-April with a strained left oblique. Prior to landing on the DL, he was hitting .229 with two home runs and five RBI through 13 games.

To make room for Viciedo, the White Sox optioned outfielder Jordan Danks to Triple-A Charlotte.
