White Sox bring up Frank Francisco

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of pitcher Frank Francisco from Triple-A Charlotte and designated pitcher Maikel Cleto for assignment.

In 387 career games out of the bullpen with the Rangers, Blue Jays and Mets, Francisco has recorded 73 saves to go along with a 20-22 record and a 3.93 ERA.

In six relief outings with Charlotte this season, Francisco allowed only one unearned run and struck out 12 hitters.

Cleto posted a 5.14 ERA in 13 relief appearances this season.
