Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago White Sox announced on Tuesday that Chris Sale will not take his usual turn during Wednesday's series finale with the Boston Red Sox due to tendinitis in his left shoulder.

Hector Santiago has been tabbed to take the hill against Boston's Clay Buchholz.

The ChiSox expect Sale to make his next scheduled start against the Cubs next week.

Sale has gone 5-2 with a 2.53 earned run average in nine starts thus far in 2013.
