Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs have traded outfielder David DeJesus to the Washington Nationals for a player to be named later.

DeJesus, 33, hit .250 with six homers, 19 doubles and 27 RBI over 84 games this season with Chicago.

The Cubs filled the roster spot by activating outfielder Brian Bogusevic (hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list, while the Nationals released outfielder Roger Bernadina to clear room for DeJesus.
