Braves recall Evan Gattis

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Braves recalled utilityman Evan Gattis from Triple-A Gwinnett prior to Tuesday's matchup with the New York Mets.

Gattis, who was optioned to Gwinnett on Friday, will start in left field and bat sixth against the visiting Mets.

The 27-year-old Gattis has appeared in 80 games for the Braves during his rookie campaign of 2013, batting .238 with 15 home runs and 47 RBI while seeing time at catcher, first base, and left field.
