Sarasota, FL (Sports Network) - Christine Song birdied the second playoff hole to beat Isabelle Boineau and win the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay on Sunday.

Song carded a 1-under 71 in the final round to end at 5-under-par 211. Boineau, the second-round leader, tripped to a 1-over 73 to finish at minus-5.

The duo returned to the par-5 18th hole at Sara Bay Country Club for the playoff. Both players found the green in three shots. Song left herself 25 feet for birdie, while Boineau was about five feet closer.

Song's birdie try rolled by the hole, then Boineau narrowly missed her birdie attempt as well.

The pair went back to the 18th again, and once again, both reached the green in three. Boineau missed from about 30 feet out, while Song drained her 12- footer for birdie and the win.

The victory was Song's third on the Symetra Tour.

Sue Kim (70), Natalie Sheary (69) and Jaye Marie Green (72) were the only other players in red figures as they shared third at 2-under 214.
