Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Two-time defending FCS champion North Dakota State announced Wednesday the finalization of its 2013 schedule by adding a Sept. 7 home game against Ferris State.

The 11th game on NDSU's schedule gives it six home dates at the Fargodome. Athletic director Gene Taylor had sought to fill the Sept. 7 date since February after Montana State pulled out of a scheduled meeting.

Ferris State, from Big Rapids, Mich., is a Division II school which finished 7-4 last season, including 6-4 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The two schools met once previously in 1999 - a 55-35 NDSU win at the Fargodome.

NDSU opens its season on Aug. 31 at Kansas State.
