Mississippi Valley State ready to start Comegy era

Itta Bena, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Mississippi Valley State will play an 11- game schedule under first-year football coach Rick Comegy this year.

The schedule, announced Friday, includes five home games at Rice-Totten Stadium.

The Delta Devils, who finished with a 2-9 record last year, will host the University of Faith in their season opener on Aug. 30.

Within the Southwestern Athletic Conference, MVSU will host Alcorn State (Sept. 20), Alabama A&M (Sept. 27), Prairie View A&M (Oct. 18, Homecoming) and Grambling State (Nov. 8).
