Government shutdown could cancel Air Force-Navy

Annapolis, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - As a result of the government shutdown, this Saturday's game between Air Force and Navy could be postponed.

Naval Academy officials released a statement Tuesday confirming the Department of Defense has suspended all intercollegiate athletic contests at service academies while the government is in shutdown mode.

"The Naval Academy will cancel contests as appropriate and notification on Saturday's football game against Air Force will be made public prior to 12 noon on Thursday," the statement read.
