Recap: Connecticut vs. Memphis

East Hartford, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Casey Cochran threw for 461 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Connecticut Huskies to a 45-10 rout over the Memphis Tigers in the final American Athletic Conference game of the season for both teams at Rentschler Field.

Geremy Davis caught 15 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown for the Huskies (3-9, 3-5 AAC), who ended the season on a three-game winning streak after losing their first nine outings. Deshon Foxx also had a big day in the passing game, finishing with 137 yards and two scores on 11 catches, while Lyle McCombs found the end zone twice (one rushing, one receiving).

Paxton Lynch completed only 18-of-37 passes for 169 yards with one touchdown and one interception for the Tigers (3-9, 1-7), who suffered their third straight loss.

A 43-yard field goal by Tigers kicker Jake Elliott represented the only points of the first quarter, although UConn eventually took control with three unanswered touchdowns in the second.

The first of those second-quarter TDs came on an 18-yard pass from Cochran to Foxx at the 13:10 mark, capping an 11-play, 89-yard drive.

UConn's next drive covered 86 yards in 13 plays, and Cochran found Davis for a 15-yard touchdown pass.

The Huskies pushed their lead to 21-3 with nine seconds to play in the half, as Cochran hit McCombs for an 11-yard scoring strike.

UConn continued to pad its lead in the third quarter. McCombs scored on a seven-yard run at the 9:06 mark to make it a 28-3 game.

The UConn defense recovered a fumble near midfield on the next series, which set up a 46-yard field goal by Chad Christen less than two minutes later.

The Tigers finally found the end zone at the 4:58 mark of the third quarter, when Lynch connected with Keiwone Malone for a 10-yard touchdown pass.

However, UConn responded with a 32-yard scoring strike from Cochran to Foxx -- their second TD hookup of the day -- to extend the Huskies' lead to 38-10 with 1:12 remaining in the third quarter. The Huskies tacked on one last score in the fourth quarter on a one-yard run by Martin Hyppolite.

UConn finished the game with a huge 538-257 edge in total offense.
