Marshall extended its lead to 14-0 when Cato capped off a 10-play, 85-yard drive by completing a five-yard scoring pass to Dobson at the 6:46 mark of the period.

Ohio charged back in the second quarter, first with a six-yard touchdown pass from Tettleton to Troy Hill. Weller added a 22-yard field goal with 6:27 left in the opening half to make it 14-10.

The Bobcats took their first lead with 49 seconds left before halftime as Tettleton threw it four yards to Furtrell for a touchdown to punctuate a 13- play, 96-yard drive. Tettleton's second touchdown pass of the day gave Ohio a 17-14 lead heading into the intermission.

Cato answered after the break by completing a 14-yard touchdown pass to Gator Hoskins for the third period's only score.

Justin Haig connected on a 37-yard field goal in the opening minute of the final frame to give the Herd a 24-17 lead.

Ohio answered on the ensuing drive and Ryan Clark's 27 yard touchdown catch courtesy of a Tettleton pass evened up the score, 24-24, with 10:43 left to play.

Nathan Carpenter's 48 yard fumble return set up Weller for the go-ahead field goal.

Cato and Marshall's offense drove down to Ohio's 27-yard line before the Woseley's interception.
